I live in beautiful Tucson,Arizona(aka "The old pueblo")Tucson has been my home since 1980. My son and his wife and three sons live in Benson, AZ, "Home of Kartchner Caverns." I am grateful they are only a 45-minute drive from Tucson.
Where to begin. My search for spiritual meaning has led me down many paths. Some were rough going and it was difficult to mine the diamonds of truth from the rocky switchbacks. Other paths have been more straightforward and have offered great insight. My family background was in the Catholic religion. At age 12 I began seeking different teachings. The next twenty years took me through the dogma of many different religions and brought me varied spritual experiments. It wasn't until I received training in Tibetan Chakra Balance that I began to forge my own path, plank by plank, using the foundations given me by my previous spiritual investigations. Tibetan Chakra Balance introduced me to the body beyond our body and solidified for me mysteries I had experienced over the years. I began to seek the wisdom within, which led me to more teachers outside myself. I have been blessed to receive instruction in Reiki Level I and Level II. My teachers are devout, dedicated practitioners who inspired in me the respect and love of Reiki that I hope I pass on to others. Reiki has given me a deeper peace, a tool to use for my own wellbeing and that of others. I hope to keep learning.
I would be happy to hear from anyone of you who is familiar with Tibetan Chakra Balance as well as Reiki and learn of your experiences. In future additions to the site, I'll discuss my massage therapy and Zen Shiatsu practice.

I the received Reiki First Degree attunements on 4/2/2005 by the hands of Reiki Master, Cornelia Smyth in Tucson, AZ. On 11/24/2007, I was given Reiki Second Degree attunements by Reiki Master Joy Thompson. Both Reiki Masters are from the lineage of Usui Shiki Ryoho (Dr. Mikao Usui / Dr. Chujiro Hyasi / Hawayo Takata.) I do not believe Master Smyth and Master Thompson have ever met but I was so blessed to be their pupil. I have never known two people who radiated more pure Ray 2 Love than these two humble and selfless teachers. I will remain grateful to them and in awe of their unconditional love.
Although I have only practiced Reiki since 2006, I think the path began in 1980 when I arrived in Tucson, having left Illinois disillusioned and looking for spiritual renewal. (I do not wish to disaparage any of the traditional religions but my personal experiences led to distrust and disgust.) Suffice it to say there are charlatans in every profession. Having toppled all my idols off their pedestals, I was left literally and figuratively in the desert to wander about seeking god.
At first I tried many different churches -- none fit. Upon experiencing some rather unsettling spiritual experiences, sans congregation and truly making me question every other foundation in the physical world, I embarked on a forensic reading regimen to help me understand what I had experienced. Thus began a 10-year self-study adventure. I will build a bibliography at the end of these paragraphs and it will grow as does my story. I hope that some of the books listed will be of interest to the visitors to these pages. I'll start, like this story, with the first books in my theological adventure.
