I welcome you with an open heart. In my quest for gathering and sharing all ways of knowing, I've been led to this spot. It is here I wish to continue a journey:

* A spiritual journey - I think many folks are taking this path.

* A poet's journey - "Once again, I'm awed by the synchronicity of life and how my personal experiences embrace and interweave with each other, sometimes without any assistance from me. All I need do is go with the flow and breathe!"

* A light worker's journey - Reiki has brought many fellow light workers into my life.

I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Master practicing in Southeastern and Central New Mexico, and West Texas, USA. I offer In-Home Therapy as well as Seated Massage at area businesses in Hobbs, New Mexico. I'm also available for treatments and classes at High Mesa Healing Center in Alto, New Mexico.

I live in West Texas, the beginning of the Southwest desert of the United States. It's here I've learned to "see forever". The horizon is vast in all directions.

I first heard about Reiki while studying to become a Massage Therapist in 1994. We learned many modalities in school and out of 13 students, we each developed our own techniques and took different paths with our practices. I was led to Energy Medicine. I received Reiki I in Los Osos, California, in September of 1997 and Reiki II in Ventura, California, in July of 1999. In April, 2001, I received Master/Teacher level in Pinon, New Mexico. I am currently teaching Reiki I and Reiki II classes in the Hobbs, New Mexico and Seminole, Texas area.

I welcome comments from you, fellow seekers.

I have a Reiki lineage. “What is a lineage?”

A Reiki lineage is the history of one’s Reiki training. Following are the dates I studied, the technique I studied, the Masters I studied with and the location of the class:

Reiki I September, 1997, Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, Charlie IronEyes, Master, The Reiki Alliance, Los Osos, California

Reiki II July, 1999, Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, Lora Woods, Independent Reiki Master, Ventura, California

Reiki III & Master/Teacher April, 2001, Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki & Radiance Reiki, Phyllis Gillum, Reiki Master Teacher, Pinon, New Mexico

There is an isolation felt in the desert that is hard to explain. Reiki is one way I've found to bring a sense of community to my life. Through this community, I've learned many things about Reiki. I'd like to share a few of them with you.

* Today, I honor my teachers.

* Edgar Mitchell, founder of The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) www.noetic.org, speaks of our Biological existence being an equal partner with our Spiritual existence, "equal" being the operative word. When our Body and Spirit acknowledge this equality, we consciously bring harmony to ourselves from the outside, in. Once In, this equality spreads on a cellular level, clearing blockages we've been creating for years. This is a simple way to visualize Energy Medicine. Reiki is a form of Energy Medicine.

* At the end of the late 1800’s, Dr. Mikao Usui started a personal quest seeking answers to questions he had concerning faith and the healings of Jesus. This quest led him to spend 21 days of meditation at a sacred mountain in Japan. The last day of the mediation, Dr. Usui went into a trance-like state and felt he was given the symbols that are the key to the healings of the Buddha and Jesus. After seven years of practicing Reiki, Dr. Usui initiated Chujiro Hayashi in the Usui Reiki system. As he realized his physical time on earth would soon end, Dr. Usui passed on the Master of Reiki recognition to Dr. Hayashi, trusting him to also carry and pass to others the Reiki Principles. In 1935, Hawayo Takata, met Dr. Hayashi in Japan. Then, in 1938, Mrs. Takata was initiated as Master of the Usui Reiki System of Natural Healing. She eventually returned to her homeland, Hawaii, where she continued to teach students and to pass on the Reiki traditions. Since that time, many people have studied Reiki and right now, there seems to be a particular acceleration of interest. Perhaps this is due to the access of communication via the Internet. Perhaps this is due to the fact that recently, science has shown interest in validating non-local or “invisible” forces of energy including Reiki and prayer. Perhaps this is merely “the way of Reiki” and the way this was all destined to be a long time ago. It’s not for me to say. I say to you now, follow your dreams and your desires and please know, when you hold a place of unconditional love in your heart for yourself and for others, there are no wrong decisions.

Namaste, Neena
