The guestbook software for our site was designed years ago. To be frank, it is outdated. Not every ReikiAloha home page has one. The one for our main site is no longer accessible; our message board can serve similar, but more flexible functions.
Few valid users realize that our site is visited almost daily by those who are not at all interested in the contents of our site, information and features which we publicly offer - they snoop, test for hidden links, try to delve below the surface, look for ways to compromise the integrity of our site.
The guestbooks seem to be targets of some of these visitors. The software should either be upgraded or eliminated.
For those who have neither updated their home pages in a while nor posted to any of our message boards - demonstrated they are still with us - the links to their guestbooks will be discontinued. (These could be restored if they later return and request it.)
For the remainder, if you feel strongly that your guestbooks should remain, please let us know. Otherwise, after a while, the links to those will be discontinued as well.
I could always attempt to make the guestbooks more secure; I just don't want to attempt it if there is no strong interest.
