In the past we offered free ReikiAloha e-mail services - both forwarding and POP accounts.
Individuals used these differently. Usually these supplemented other, preferred e-mail accounts.
Forwarding was awkward because the user would receive e-mail sent to "reikialoha.com", but replied via their e-mail of choice. If the ReikiAloha address is the target of spam (a result of publication, for example), sometimes the destination mail server rejected these - bouncing these back to reikialoha.com - as if we were the source of spam. This raises the possibility of all reikialoha.com e-mail addresses being blacklisted.
Those with POP accounts also had the option of accessing via Webmail. If this is used exclusively, however, messages remain on our server indefinitely - until explicitly deleted by the user.
The ideal is for POP users to access via an e-mail client installed on their own computers (Outlook Express, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) This way, messages are downloaded to their machines, and automatically removed from our server in the process. Webmail is useful when traveling or the user's computer is down for some reason - or if the person has no regular Internet connection and relies on ReikiAloha e-mail exclusively.
Because of reasons given above, we have had to rescind most forwardings and will only make POP accounts available on a selective basis.
My apologies if this inconveniences anyone.
